Exorcise and exercise

Run up all 75 of the super-steep infamous Exorcist steps at the corner of 36th and Prospect streets. The steps had their moment of fame as the spot where Father Karras tumbled to his demise in the cult horror classic The Exorcist. Locals flock to the steps to get their sweat on.

Running/Walking

Rock Creek Park is D.C.’s 2,100-acre green space. The park is a popular retreat for the city’s outdoor enthusiasts, with lush greenery and miles of trails, a nature center, golf course, horse stables, and theater. Rock Creek Park is a short 3-minute walk from the Watergate hotel.

Canoe or Kayak

Paddling along the Potomac River reveals a dazzling view of memorials and monuments. Check out Thompson Boat Center for canoe and kayak rentals. Georgetown’s waterfront offers a wide range of on-the-water fun. Head down to the banks’ of the Potomac River for your next adventure. Thompson Boat Center is also a great place to rent bicycles to explore the trails of Rock Creek Park.
